I have no idea what the hell its the cable for,and the Beam Rifle can be open up as burst mode.

what did u use to color the beam saber?
That small cable is a carry-over design from the Murasao and the Susanowo. To simulate a samurai warrior's ponytail hair. And also, the 00 is smaller than the Braves, animation-wise.
looks nice, tall and skinny.
the cable, like bd said, a carry over from masurao and susanowo, is used for extra power for certain part, like susanowo's swords, but in anime, it is shown to power up his left arm (?)
